Walker Elder Suites is unlike any other assisted living community in the Twin Cities area. We’re small—with only 72 apartments, cozy surroundings, and a caring professional staff who feel like family. Rather than looking or feeling like a nursing home, this gracious, residential atmosphere makes residents feel right at home. Shared parlors outside apartments are ideal places to gather and socialize. Short, wide hallways make it easy for residents to move about. Each spacious apartment includes a mini-kitchen, private bath, and individually-controlled thermostat.
 

Comprehensive assisted living…

By including services in the monthly rent, Walker Elder Suites assures that the needs of every resident are met. Assisted living and skilled nursing care are provided by Walker Health Services, with offices on-site. Care needs are assessed and monitored by registered nurses. Residents can receive help with bathing and personal hygiene, medication monitoring and administration, personal laundry and linens, housekeeping, and more. They also receive three delicious meals daily, served in our lovely dining room, or in their own apartment home.
 

Respite care at Walker Elder Suites is ideal for individuals who need temporary assistance while recovering from illness or injury. It’s also helpful for caregivers who may need assistance from time to time or who need to be away.
For individuals who need higher levels of assisted living, Care Suites are specifically designed to provide around-the-clock continuous care. Located within Walker Elder Suites, Care Suites serves both short-term rehabilitative stays and long-term residents. Each care provider takes care of no more than five apartments at a time, allowing personalized and flexible care.
