Walker Methodist Foundation’s mission is to enhance the comfort, care, and dignity of all residents within the Walker communities. The Foundation seeks charitable funds to support the services, programs, and facilities of Walker Methodist. Gifts to the Foundation are used to fund Spiritual Care and Therapeutic Recreation programs, maintain beautiful facilities, add capital improvements, and build an endowment to ensure Walker Methodist can continue to Care for Those Who Cared for Us. Through the years, the Foundation has received gifts from generous men and women, foundations, companies, and organizations who care deeply for older adults. We invite you to join them and become a Caring Partner in our mission to champion the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual health of the elders we serve.
Your gift to Walker Methodist Foundation can support our vital mission in a number of ways.
Unrestricted Gifts – Gifts for undesignated purposes enable Walker to respond quickly to meet top priorities for resident care and services throughout our organization.
Community and Program Gifts – Gifts to support specific communities or programs within communities.
Capital Funds are used to enhance our communities with new care programs or to build new facilities.
Gifts to the endowment are held in trust with only the earnings spent, not the original gifts. Earnings from the endowment provide a source of revenue for several quality of life enhancement programs, including spiritual care, art, and humanities events.
Gifts are typically made through membership in our Heritage Society. Members designate Walker Methodist Foundation as a beneficiary in their estate plans or make a substantial cash gift.
