What is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC)?

 A CCRC provides senior housing, health services, and nursing care on one campus. Residents move into an independent living apartment, where they have the services and amenities to suit them today. If higher levels of care are ever required, residents may receive services in their own apartment. If skilled nursing is required, the nursing center is on-site and residents have priority access to care.

Simply put, a CCRC offers a variety of programs and services to help each person remain in the best health possible.

What is life like at Walker Place?

At Walker Place, residents enjoy retirement that isn’t tired. From the many event and activity offerings to the fine dining options, each individual is catered to in an environment where high-quality, personalized service is priority.

The many services and amenities provide comfort and convenience, and the guarantee of on-site assisted living and nursing care offer peace-of-mind to residents and their families.

Who owns Walker Place?

Walker Place is owned and operated by Walker Methodist, a non-profit senior service provider. Since 1945, Walker Methodist has been a leader in caring for older adults through health programs and residential management services.

What are the costs involved in moving to Walker Place?
 

The costs involve two fees – a one-time entrance fee and monthly service fees. Walker Place is pleased to offer two entrance fee options: 90% refundable and 100% refundable.

The monthly fee pays for all services, with the exception of telephone and internet.

Are guests welcome at Walker Place?

Because Walker Place is your home, guests are always welcome. Overnight guests can be accommodated in your unit, or, if you prefer, guest suites are available at a reasonable cost.
