“I moved to Walker Plaza in May of 2006. Two days later, I called my son and asked him ‘How many people were at my funeral? I’m in heaven here.’ Walker has done an excellent job in staffing. The entire staff is helpful, cheerful and positive at all times. I have met so many new friends and others I have known for years. I also feel I’m back where it all started for me. Just below my window is where the big door to my Dad and Uncle’s Studebaker garage used to be. And across the street is where my folks lived in 1920 when they got married.
When we had two snow storms in early March, I said to my kids that last March, I would have been worried about my furnace, my sidewalk, my driveway, my car and my heating bill. No more. What a relief. Needless to say, I hope I’m still here when I’m 100.”

“I am a resident of Walker Plaza. This is a very nice place to be. I like it here and have made a lot of friends. I like knowing that if I should need help of any kind, it is here. We can eat here and I don’t have to cook if I don’t feel like doing it. I have a nice one bedroom apartment and have all my nice furniture with me. It feels like home to me.”

“My husband and I moved into Walker Plaza in June of 2000. We had a one bedroom apartment and really did enjoy it. When my husband passed away, I moved into a studio apartment later that year. My new apartment is so comfortable and I do enjoy this one too. We have a van that takes us grocery shopping every week and also to medical appointments, the bank and outings. There is a lot of entertainment here where they try to get people out of their apartments. I am really happy here and always tell people to consider seeing our place before they decide on a new home.”

“Walker Plaza is a comfortable place to live. People are very helpful and friendly and I have enjoyed the quietness of it here. I am close to my bank and the van comes twice a week to take us shopping. It has been enjoyable for me, and I would advise a friend to come and make their home here.”
