Thank you, nurses! National Nurses’ Week 2020

Amy Weiss | May 11, 2020

May 6-12 is National Nurses’ Week, and we wanted to share a big “thank you!” for the nurses on our team. The theme of Nurses’ Week this year is compassion, expertise, and trust. Now more than ever, nurses are demonstrating these values as they faithfully take care of others.

Our nurses continue to serve and care for residents, and they make a difference each and every day. Here are some nurses from our communities and encouraging notes sent by our friends and neighbors. (To send your own note, please visit www.walkermethodist.org/wel-lwishes.)

“Thank you for all of your hard work and extra care you have given my parents. My parents just moved in. All is still so new for them and everyday a new learning experience. My mom says everyone is so kind there. I would also like to give out my gratefulness for their nurse. We feel blessed to have her there for my mom and dad. She has gone above and beyond to help them adapt to their "new home." I am looking forward to seeing you all in person when we get a chance and to thank you all personally.”

“Thank you for taking care of my mother. On behalf our family, we appreciate everything you are doing for her on a daily basis. Your love and care is very much appreciated. Thank you again for your service and long hours you put in to protect our loved ones. It does not go unnoticed.”

“You are a gift from God and a blessing to all of us. May you find peace, rest, and hope in the midst of the battle and know you are all in my prayers!”
