Servant leadership trait: Listening so people feel important and heard
I love knowing I help residents and improve their quality of life daily. After working in the banking industry, I haven’t looked back since I joined the Walker Methodist team in 2018. Working with older adults is rewarding for me.
My background in the apartment industry helps me as I oversee happenings at Lyndale. On a day-to-day basis, I meet with residents, lead activities, manage teams and vendors, meet with families, help residents with income recertifications, and so much more.
Professionally, I’m known for my expertise about HUD, as well as my passion for researching and understanding processes. I’m passionate about creating systems and thinking through steps to solve problems. In 2020, I completed Walker’s Leadership Development Program.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids. Recently, we’ve been remodeling our 1890s house. I also can be found reading or going to the dog park.
Servant leadership trait: Using connections to help others
As a social worker of almost 40 years, I have truly enjoyed working with seniors for the past 15 years of my career. I joined the Walker Methodist team in 2021. I feel so grateful to be able to interact and build relationships with the people I serve.
Passionate about fostering community, I meet with residents, formally and informally, and help them stay as independent as possible with a variety of supports and resources. I also plan activities and educational events to bring residents together. My great network of resources and professionals helps me better serve our residents.
When I’m not working, you can find me playing with my grandson and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy photography, international travel, listening to live music, and trying new local restaurants.
