Servant leadership trait: Helping those who might otherwise fall through the cracks
About a decade ago, I decided it was time to move out of restaurant and retail work. I’ve always loved working with people, but working with older adults has truly allowed me to give back to others in the most rewarding way. I joined the Walker team as Pioneer Manor’s housing manager in 2014.
Passionate about working with those who have limited resources, I have a knack for understanding and simplifying the world of affordable housing and subsidy policies. Each day, my job combines two of my passions: seniors and human services.
In 2017, I was chosen as servant leader of the year for my community. I also completed LeadingAge’s Leadership Academy in 2020.
When I'm not at work, you can find me cooking with my three children or spending time on our farm.
