The pandemic has changed the landscape of the world in unimaginable ways. For many of us, life has paused, waiting for the world around us to return to normal.

Don’t live your life on pause. Now is still the right time to make a move to a senior living community.

We understand the motivation of families who have chosen to keep Mom or Dad at home with them even though their memory loss is becoming more pronounced or their medications become more complicated to manage.

Recently, I spoke with Kim, a daughter of one of our residents. She confided in me about the guilt she felt the first day that she left her mom in the care of our team. That’s not a surprising feeling—she loves her mom and wants to take care of her.

But it wasn’t long before Kim could see that her mom was happy and thriving in her new home. The guilt she felt is gone and has been replaced with peace, knowing that her mom is in capable and loving hands.

Even amidst the ever-moving winds of change, Walker Methodist remains firmly rooted in our mission of enhancing lives. Our team of heroes has been called to this work, and they love our residents and care for them like family. Together, with our residents, we create community and find joy in every day. We live life fully.

Our communities are safe havens. Everyone wears a mask, team members wear additional personal protective equipment, and we practice social distancing and proper hand hygiene. A, sometimes, stark difference in the public, where not everyone takes necessary precautions to protect vulnerable people.

There is so much life to enjoy at Walker Methodist:

Come see for yourself. We have changed the way that we tour the communities, but you will still have a personalized look inside. Don’t stay on pause. Talk with a team member and find out how your life will be enhanced with Walker Methodist.
